I'm not sure whether we are hitting DTD this trip, but I wouldn't mind checking out Babycakes. Would you go by DTD just for that?

Do you only eat gluten free foods? That would be the only reason I would make a special trip.

I wouldn't. But as you have several vegans in your group you might want to.

Absolutely!! Healthy and tasty food are a must on vacation. Try their doughnuts. :)

No, I wouldnt go to DTD just for that cupcake

Yes! With 5 in my family eating gluten free, one of which is deathly allergic to dairy and eggs a Babycakes trip is a must do once arriving in order to stock the kitchen of our DVC condo for the first few days. A second trip for the last few days. A few threats and carefully marking the boxes for ownership (teenagers and tweens) so that there is no sneaking from each other's boxes.

While I can appreciate the cupcake and dessert porn posted on this board, the only desserts we order from restaurants are gelato, sorbets, and creme brulee (I do love my creme brulee, especially the more elaborate flavors). I sometimes tire of desserts and get capuccinos as my "dessert" on the DDP -- having to order straight from the chef each and every time we pretty much get whatever we want.

I'm waiting to find out if they have finalized their arrangements to deliver baked goods to restaurants via the cake line. I don't want to go to DTD but I want Babycakes treats. When your options for desserts are as limitted as ours (long list of food allergies), you really appreciate a good dessert that's also safe. If I can't get anything delivered to a restaurant or our resort then I'll definitely have to rethink skipping DTD just for Babycakes.

Personally JUST for that? No. But if I'm there, I will stop by. Just had a cupcake and DH had a brownie cupcake and both were YUMMMMMMMY!

Yes. My daughter has a number of anaphylactic allergies. We are so excited for her to experience getting to order food from a bakery - a 1st!

Since you eat vegan, yes I'd go just for that. I go to DTD every trip anyway, but Babycakes is easily my #1 must do there this trip, I'm so excited it opened there.

Yep! I definitely would and plan on it when we go in a couple weeks. I have the Babycakes books and their recipes are AMAZING. Can't wait to have a cupcake!
