Babycakes DTD

Has anyone gone later in the day (after 4:00 or 5:00) and had a good selection? I am worried we'll get there and find just a few lonely cupcakes left. This has happened to us before at other bakeries and it is very disappointing. I posted this on the disabilities board but thought it may get more traffic here. I am especially interested in knowing how the donut and cupcake selection is late in the day. We'll only be in DTD arrival day and we won't get there until late afternoon.

1) I guess it depends upon how much they made earlier.
2) And, how well they sold.
3) After all most health laws say you can keep prepared food overnight. *
4) If so, they have to throw good stock away.
5) Thus, the later in the day, the smaller the selection.

* I do not personally know if the law applies to baked goods.

and ask what the selection is usually like when you expect to get there. Or perhaps if there are some specific flavours you are hoping for, you could order them in advance so they'll have them ready for you.

We are going to WDW at the end of February and can hardly wait to visit Babycakes!! Yum, yum, yum!

I love Babycakes! Am not much of a dessert eater, but love all the little desserts! Just right! Went to the one in Vegas at the M Resort ... awesome! Going in January and can't wait! Will have to make the trip to DTD more than once that week!

I emailed them. I'll let you know what they say. I think I will pre-order the donuts b/c that's what I am really hoping to get. The cupcakes too but I bet they make more cupcakes than donuts.

I would think you would be ok. SInce the DTD area doesn't start hopping until evening, I am sure they plan on crowds being heavy in the evenings
