DW & I are taking our DS (1 yr. old) to WDW at the end of the month and we're going with another married couple, so we're wondering if the BABY SWAP is limited only for one person to wait with a baby or can two people wait with a baby?
Does that make sense? :scratchin

When we did it, we had 2 infants and a 2 year old in our party, all with different moms (a girls and babies only trip), so what we did was go to the ride, get a 'rider switch pass', then the 3 moms would wait with our kids, while the rest of our group rode (between 6-9 other people, depending on the day/ride), then when they got back, they'd each take a child and watch her while we 3 moms rode. Each pass we got said it was good for up to 3 people, which is why we just got one. We each could have gotten our own pass though and ridden 3 times, with different people from our group each time if we had wanted to. So yes, 2 people will be allowed to wait in your group while the other 2 ride.

Does the other parent and the child actually have to stand in line and wait while the first parent rides? Or can the first parent just state that their husband/wife is waiting with a child and get a kid swap pass?

You don't stand in line with the 1st parent riding. Actually, they will not let a child who is too short to ride stand in the line. You must meet the minimum height requirement to wait in line for a ride, even if you hve no intention of riding. You just go to the entrance to the ride (or really any CM at the ride, either at the line entrance or near a FP machine) and tell them you need a baby switch pass. They will then give you the pass and whoever is riding first gets in line, or in the FP line if they have one. Then after they ride, the parent who waited takes the 'rider switch pass' and goes to the FP entrance (or in the case of no FP whereever the CM who gave you the pass tells you to enter with it). It's basically just like a when we went to DL last week, since it was just me, my mom and my baby, we would often just get 2 FPs for the ride and use them separately, rather than getting a switch pass since it's the same thing.

I found this to genrealy be true but not always. they notable exception is at Star Tours. They had us all go in line and i got to wait on the benches outside the simulators with the kids and then i took my turn.

We loved baby swap and yes you can wait in teams to ride and swap.

We also found that the "procedure" varied at each ride and even on the same ride but on different days. Do yourself a favor and check with the CM at each attraction you want to BS beforehand and find out how they would like to handle it.

You can also just get a fp for each person riding if available and use them 2 at a time.

I just had to say that when I read "Baby Swap" it took me a minute to realize what it meant. I must be tired or something because I thought it was talking about something totally different.

Yikes...time for a nap....lol

The best Baby swap is Mission Space. They have a kids play area for the kids to climb through while you wait. Its airconditioned and places for parents to sit and wait. We did it two then three. The pass they gave us said three can ride so this worked great for us.
