Baby step MDE dining reservations

So my Travel Agent said it was better for me to get the dining reservations myself instead of back and forth with her. Is there a thread or video I can watch that gives me step by step on how to make Dinner reservations on the Mydisneyexperience website?

A) don't use this travel agent next time

B) I think it's actually easier on the app but if you want to use the website I've screen grabbed the process.

From the website home page, under things to do there's a make reservations heading, click that:



It brings you to this page:




I changed the time to 7 PM tonight to find a hypothetical dinner



Then you click on the time you want for something that appeals to you.

If you're looking for a time at a specific place, you can find that restaurant under the restaurants page and then search for a reservation that way.

I agree with PP. What exactly is this the point of using this particular Travel Agent? What are they doing for you, just hotel reservations? That's even easier to do yourself than restaurant reservations.

Start practicing now. You don't even have to sign in, everyone can make ADRs withing 60 days. Follow the prompts to book. When you get to the end just don't complete the reservation.

That stinks. Your TA should be going over your options with you ahead of time, making recommendations, solidifying the dining reservations you want (plus maybe a backup or two just in case) and then making your reservations for you when your window opens. But I agree with PP that practicing now is a good idea. On the day your window opens, I'd log in from an incognito window on your computer as well as the app (just in case one glitches). Put the most popular ADRs later in your trip if you can. Grab the most hard-to-get ones first when your window opens. Good luck!

The perk of using an agent is that THEY get up early and stress in front of a screen trying to get your dining reservations for you! I’m sorry you got one that didn’t offer that. :-(

I think the app is VERY easy. Pull it up while you are watching TV and practice.

LOL I came to the same conclusion you did! I thought she could get us discounts and do this for me, but she has not done much for us! All she has done is make hotel reservations. I could have done that myself. Even our tickets were on our own because my spouse is military. Well, lesson learned.

The reason why I want to use the computer instead of app is because a) we have a large group and need to divide into 2 groups of 4s, and then also we have a couple of high-demand reservations so having the windows open ahead of time will make getting a desirable time easier. I don't think I will get all the reservations I want, but I want the best opportunity available.
