Baby Shower Gift Ideas

The other ladies have posted tons of great ideas, hopefully you can find something from the suggestions! I find babies SO EASY to shop for, regardless if it's the parents 2nd or their 5th!

I always do one of two gifts; the first is a large clear (or tinted blue or pink) storage box filled with diapers and Balmex.

The second is a foldable bath-tub filled with towels, face clothes, wash and lotions

I always go to their registry first, if they have one.

I made my neice a baby diaper cake. Photos below.

The cake is made entirely out of disposable diapers and a few little gifts you tuck into cake layers.

My neice and her husband are huge Cubs fans, so I used that as a theme. I bought a Cubs baby bottle and other items like a bib, a spoon set, little toys. There are directions for these cakes online. Just google how to make a diaper cake. For the inside center of the cake, I used a bottle of pedialite, so that was another useful item. tink

I shy away from giving or recieving anything personalized...when I'm done with it, what will we do with it?? we cant give it away, donate it, or even sell it...so, I'd recommend staying away from those items! nevermind the arguments they cause between children in the same household if only 1 has it!

Consumables are always good - diapers, wipes, dreft/laundry detergent, etc.

We are expecting number 2 - and regardless of the gender, I will need new bibs and new white onesies - the first kids were not worth saving!! Meals or dinner certificates for our favorite take out places are also very welcome! Anything to avoid cooking!

Lastly - what I really want is a massage and a pedicure...my body needs it badly!!!
