Baby shower gift help - want to get "mom" somthing from her son....

My MIL wants to get my SIL a gift from her son to give to her at her baby shower for son #2 that she is pregnant with (8 years age difference). She is trying to come up with something thoughtful or clever. Any ideas out there??? I can't come up with anything and the shower is next weekend! Yikes.

You didn't mention a price range...but something that would be reasonably priced would be "tub toys".

What about a "picture" book for the baby that the 8 year old can add photos too.

Or how about a toy to put on a stroller or a car seat?

If it is for the mom, maybe a piece of jewelry or a charm with both birthstones.

My son got me a charm bracelet and every holiday or event for a year I got charms representing that holiday or event (event would be birth of new baby or vacation etc.) It's still one of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

There are some really nice picture frames (in various sizes and price ranges) that say "My Brother and Me." I usually see them at Kohl's.

This is a shower gift for the baby from the eight year old? If so, he could wrap two t-shirts together, one saying "I'm the big brother" for himself and one saying "I'm the little brother" for the baby. I see these in catalogs all the time.

MAybe he could write a letter to his mom or even someone could video him and he could talk to his mom. I love the sentimental things much more than the monetary ones. He could write a story to his little brother about why it will be awesome to be in this family. I also like the picture frame of big brother/little brother. Or a frame that says my boys to the mom. Sentimental gifts to me ar ethe best.
