Does anyone have any good suggestions for baby gifts from WDW?

One of my former professors (who is also a really good friend) will be about 6 months pregnant when I am going to WDW. She mentioned that they are most likely not going to find out the sex of the baby beforehand.

I am planning on getting them a couple of things from their gift registry but she loves Disneyland and has never been to Disneyworld so I was hoping to pick up a couple of things on our trip.

I would love some ideas for baby gifts that would be good for either a boy or a girl. I know that some things in Disney are more worth the money than other things.

My budget for the disney portion of the gift will be about $50.

DParents just two weeks ago and brought back my DD (4 months) a Minnie Mouse Bib it is so cute and my DSis DD (3 weeks) a onesies. I know they also have My first mickey and minnie stuff animals.

Also you could go to the Design-A-Tee in DTD and make a 6-9 month shirt for baby. The shirts we made were grey because we didnt know what we were having with all the characters on it. (We actually did this with I love my grandparents on them to tell our parents we were prego)

Hope this helps. :goodvibes

I bought the gsons each a little christmas stocking that can be used as an ornament on the tree (dh has one not a disney 1 that has been on the tree for 63 yrs) I wanted to carry on the tradition with the Gsons....something only looked at a short time every year unbreakable.

I think I've also seen some stainless 1st disney spoons an forks something easy to save for the babys own baby. Could very easily be used for boy or girl nothing there to be sex oriented usually.

Disney piggy bank think I seen some unisex ones that was silver plated type things.

I've been to Disney lots of times during my five pregnancies, and each time, we always get something for the baby we're expecting. Some of my favorites....socks, Christmas ornaments, Mickey or Minnie Bibs, Baby's first Mickey/Minnie/Pooh, hmmm....I'm sure there's more, I just can't think of them now. I'll re-post if I come up with more!!

Most of baby things seem gender specific. There is a Winnie the Pooh store in DTD (not sure I'd the one in front of the ride at MK is open due to construction) that has some cute things for boys or girls. I really like the baby stuffed toys that come with a blankie. My boys use the blankies as their security blankies and sleep each night with the baby Pluto.

You can find the plush at disneyshopping.com, under the Disney parks items. There are more characters available at the parks.

I have bought some wonderful baby items from WDW. I'm not sure if they still sell them, but 5ish years ago they sold Pooh plush rattles. They were made of the softest materials and my DD loved it. They also made a big plush block in baby colors that made a jingly noise when played with. They were both very reasonably priced (maybe $10 or under). I also bought Pooh themed plastic blocks that I still have and DD2 now plays with them. Last year for DD2 (she was 15 months) I bought her the most precious outfits while there and each outfit was around $25 which I thought was a steal. They have a special line of "baby" plush dolls and they come wrapped in a doll sized blanket. They had tons of different characters to choose from and I want to say they were around $16. For a novelty item you could buy a pair of infant Mickey Ears. With a budget of $50 you can buy a couple of really nice things at Disney. If you go to DTD and hit the World of Disney Store there is a room in there specifically for babies. Also on Main Street in the Emporium you can find a nice sized baby room also.
Only problem will be choosing what to get! :goodvibes

PS Don't forget to go into the Baby Care Centers also as they sell some baby items in them and you might find something in there that you really like.

Oh! I have the perfect suggestions if they still have them! I went to WDW pregnant and found 2 adorable things for my baby....

First - a Tigger/Pooh/Eyeore Nighttime Buddies soother. It's the most adorable thing ever. If you google that, it does come up on Amazn but says it's out of stock. I found it in a store in DTD. The only issue I have with it is that it is loud and the only way to turn the volume down is with the remote (which I'm always misplacing).

Second - There is a baby mickey that I think is so cute. It's baby mickey, curled up sucking a pacifier, and you pull the pacifier out and it plays music and goes back in. It's hard to describe and I couldn't find anything online to show you. I think it was in some of the plush stores and I've seen it there since. Maybe try the Emporium.

Another option is something that we received from my aunt who lives in Orlando and knows we love disney. She bought him a WDW snow globe - just of the castle. He loves looking at it and always wants us to shake it and wind it up. When he was a baby it was just a decoration, but now its a nice keepsake for him, especially since he loves WDW!

The pooh store at DTD always has some baby stuff. And I think there might be a store in AK that has some stuff as well.

And in MK the store in Toontown has some, also in Mousegears at EPCOT.

Have fun!

I'll second the Disney bear. DBIL got DS the bear when he was 3 months old and, 3 years later, he still loves it. The one he got is the one in pj's and is adorable. They are really soft and huggable.

You can also find some clothes, but as some have mentioned, they tend to be more gender specific, although you can find some white, blue, and green ones too.

The Disney Bear and book is a great idea! Forgot about those.

And there's a bunch of gender-specific stuff, BUT there's a nice selection of gender-neutral as well. Like I said in an earlier post, I've been there during five pregnancies and always come home with at least one thing for the baby, if not more. And we don't ever know the baby's gender as we avoid ultrasounds during pregnancy.

I'm sure you'll find something fabulous!

We got a cute bib at AK near the Finding Nemo musical that has the seagulls saying "Mine, Mine, Mine!" :) We loved that because we were calling our little Munchkin "Nemo" at the time. (Plus it was on a sea green background, so it's gender neutral.

They have a special line of "baby" plush dolls and they come wrapped in a doll sized blanket. They had tons of different characters to choose from and I want to say they were around $16.

I really like the baby stuffed toys that come with a blankie.

This is a perfect idea. I bought something like that for another friends baby last year and he sleeps with it at daycare all the time now. I think i will definitley buy one of these.

This is their first child and they are so thrilled. I'm looking foward to shopping for the baby and babysitting...lol:love:

The Disney Bear and book is really cute, I found the book in the christmas store in DTD and someone said they have it in MK near country bears. The pooh store has cute baby stuff that's gender neutral. In the world of disney store they had my first disney trip shirts, maybe get it in anticipation of a trip. If she winds up finding out the gender of the baby they have really cute ear hats that are baby pink or baby blue for babies. They always have super cute and fuzzy stuffed animals in the world of disney. At target (I know it's not in disney but it's disney themed) in the baby section they had really soft disney stuffed animals that have bells inside them. You could get a disney themed picture frame, maybe not one thats parked or like princess themed, but in the world of disney they usually have simple frames with mickey heads.

When DS was about 6 mo old, we bought him the Eeyore for babies in the Baby Care - it was a plush Eeyore, and had a tail that could be pulled off (but stayed on with a string). DS loved this Eeyore and still plays with it sometimes (now with his baby sister).

Lots is either pink or blue, but your best "neutral" options will be Winnie the Pooh themed. I found cute things for my sister when she was expecting at the store after the Winnie the Pooh ride in Fantasyland. You can find a cute outfit for around $30, plus a plush toy, and still be under $50. The clothes we bought held up great - are now on they're 4th kid (DSister used for her 2 kids, and passed to me for my 2 kids).
