My DD is 14 months and eats pretty much all table foods, but she still loves those pouches. I've found a lot of the organic/natural brands make interesting, more dinner-like combinations. Ella's Kitchen, Plum Organics, and Sprout are some of our favorites. I've seen a few with meat in them if she can eat that; a lot of them also have greek yogurt or grains like quinoa for protein. (Plum also has a line called Plum Tots that are supposed to be for older kids, but its still a pretty smooth consistency. We've had some oatmeal/fruit combos in this brand that my 5-year-old likes too.)
My DD also just eats them by sucking the contents directly out of the pouch. We usually hold it for her, just so she doesn't squeeze it out all over the place, but we don't use a spoon.
