WOW! I finally found my way back to this and was stunned to see such beautiful pictures of baby Parker.. and an amazing story about the birth. Complete and utter KUDOS to Candi for making it through with no drugs! I was yelling "EPIDURAL" within 30 minutes of arrival I'm sure you've gained so much respect for her.

And.. I was just thinking about a nickname for Parker that we can use to ensure his Disney-ness... How about "Park Hopper"?

ahhhh....Parker is too cute. sounds like he has game already?? I can't wait for that...we only have 3 weeks to go until we can find out the gender and it is killing me....I want to know!! I see your dog in the background of one of the pics...how is you dog doing with Parker? Did you prepare your dog at all for baby? I am wondering If I should pick up a book about getting puppy ready for baby...ours is one little spoiled prince...he wants to sit on my lap all the time...I am thinking about taking him to obediance school...to learn some basic commands just in case he would want to be with me all the time with the baby.

Congratulations to you both...your wife is a brave woman. The OB told me that the hospital has an epidural service and I said good to know...because I plan on taking part of it...I cannot handle pain AT ALL!!

the dog is doing good, he likes to be around the baby all the time, they say to bring home a blanket from the hospital before you come home to let them smell and get used to it, but we did not do that, he was good from the start, he still lays on DW when she is feeding parker, but he lays across her legs, or right next to her...he went out to DW's parents house this week so they could spend more time playing with him, and he plays with there dog..until we get a little more of a routine, and we can spend more time with him.

try not to get it into your head to early that you are going to need pain medicine, all of DW's doctors told her that it was mostly a mental game, if you prepare yourself that you will not need the medice, then you are more than likely not going to need it...good luck, and cant wait to see pics of your child when it gets here.

Wow, Dan! He's adorable! Congrats again! You'll really have to watch out for all the little girl babies who are going to be eyeing him! My DD4 already has a fiance! It starts so early....

yep there are going to be abour 4 new girl babies, in our group of friends at church, so he should have a good pickens pretty soon when they get here.

I was just gonna say that it looks like Candi didn't gain that much weight, but you kind of addressed her weight.

she gained 40 pounds and is already down about 30.

Dude he's such a chip off the ole block already hangin with the hotties. But seriously Im sure you all and your families are so proud of little Parker take lots of pics and 8mm to treasure .... your so good at it as we all know from the TR but we know you will be tired alot...My step Daughter is still holding out for more money ...her due date was the 24th and still no baby.

that is great randy, this is the backround on my computer at work.

we think that his nose and ears are candis, but the rest of him is me. he even has my bright blue eyes. you can judge for yourself when you meet him this July.

Hope you guys enjoyed some of the pictures from Parkers first week on this planet.

Oh yeah, and DW is almost back down to her pre birth weight...She has about 7 more pounds to go. But she is not sure she wants to get that small, she was really skinny before she got pregant, she says she likes where she is at now.

these were my favorite 3 pictures. I just love those eyes open! And Candi looks GREAT! Wow....7 pounds to go?! I'd definitely say she could stick with where she is now. She looks great!

he is doing good, likes to be close to parker, but gets a little sad when we have to stop playing with him to take care of parker, so he went on a vacation to Candis parents houes this week to play with them and there dog, we go out there this weekend, so we get him back then.
but all in all he is doing good.

Go for it without the meds! I've been on both sides, had the drugs with 2 of my babies, and didn't have any for the other 2. If I was going to do it again, I'd go for it without the drugs. The bad part goes a lot faster.

Yes, but it lasts longer...like by HOURS! Epidurals really slow down the labor a lot. I'd rather get it over with quick. But, that was just me. I guess after being in labor with Shane for almost 24 hours, I didn't want it to last much longer so I opted for no drugs. Actually, the pain putting the epidural in wasn't worth the small amount of pain it took away. Just my opinion.

Park hopper is doing great, still cracking us up with his many faces he makes.
