Hi Guys

MY DS (10m) is crawling everywhere now and even cruising a bit :) Are there places in the parks/resorts where I could let him have a good crawl without hurting his knees? I thought about Pooh's Playful Spot - but are there any others for him??

Many Thanks

Pooh's playful spot has some really cool stuff on the ground that looks like dirt, but feels soft. I believe it is ground up tires or some similar rubber-y substance.
There is also a playground area at MGM Studio that has a similar something on the ground.

Don't forget the Babycare centers. I think MGM's was the only one that didn't have a seperate little room with some small toys and a tv playing cartoons. That can be a nice quiet place to relax a bit and let your baby crawl around for a few minutes. Of course, there's only one per park so it might not be conveniently located to where you're at, but I thought I would mention it.

hth.

When are you going? It is possible if he is cruising now that he may be walking. I thought my dd would be crawing as well but 2 weeks before our trip (2 weeks before her 1st birthday) she started walking. I have some adorable pictures of her toddling down Main Street.

We spent a good amount of time letting ds crawl in the little play area next to Splash Mountain. I was really hoping he'd be walking by our trip, but no luck. He also loved crawling in the Boneyard in AK. That was the only place he was questioned about not having shoes, so be sure to bring along a pair.

We arrive at WDW on Sunday :) So I don't think he will be walking by then :) We are there for 3 weeks so I will get him to work on it LOL

Thanks for all your help :) We will bring some shoes then :thumbsup2

WE just got back and we too were hoping for a walker, but no such luck :teeth:

there is a water play area in toon town (Donalds Boat) and that has a soft surface for crawling all the other places mentiond work too! DS also liked crawling around the room a lot, so we went back for naps once a day, just to get him out of the stroller and stretched out in the AC :teeth:

EPCOT has a couple water places with that rubbery ground to play on too!

the baby care centers at all are a pretty good place too except MGM, nowhere to play.

MK is kinda small, so you don't really want to stay too long there, AK is the BEST ONE! our kids loved it there ::yes:: That and the bone yard was pretty much the only place out little guy could get down there.

Have fun!!
