Goiong to disney with my 4 year old and 3 month old. Has anyone gone on rides with a 3 month old in a baby front/back carrier? I have been to Disney over 20 times and can't remember if i have ever seen anyone with a carrier on a ride.

Thanks :)

I've used my ellaroo wrap and my mei tai a good bit when my DD was a baby. I would leave her strapped to the front on rides unless she was nursing (which she did a lot when we were resting on a ride).

OUr son road rides in the Baby Bjorn at 11 mos old and also again at 20 mos old. If you are going to invest in one and go again, be sure to get a front one that holds larger children (the Baby Bjorn holds up to 35 lbs). Even though we didnt use the Bjorn at home by the time he was 20 mos, we did use it at WDW. A front carrier can be worn on ride and in shows, whicle you would have to take a backpack off.

We were just there with Aug. 24-30 and we used our Infantino carrier. The newer one holds larger babies up to 32 pds and has memory foam our baby was very comfortable in it. He rode most rides in his carrier. We have our 6 month old and a almost 5 year old and also rented a sit and stand stroller it was VERY handy. He of course slept facing in and when awake rode facing out :)

I kept my son in either his Mai Tai or Moby Wrap on rides.

Like a pp said, he'd usually want to nurse while on rides or during shows. I think it was down time for him, lol.

Really?! I hadn't even thought about this being a possibility! I am really happy to hear about people wearing their babies on rides - it totally makes sense on about 85% of the WDW rides...I guess I just never thought about it. Mmmm...custom Mei Tais for the parks...that's a fun thought! :lovestruc

I've had my oldest 2 in the baby bjorn and my youngest will be in it in 8 weeks! It's great. I personally feel better with them in it vs sitting on my lap.

When DD was 2 1/2 mos I brought my Moby wrap and my Beco Butterfly. I used them both a lot. The Moby was really great for rides and the Beco was great for walking around with her in a back carry.

Just a word of caution-be careful about those carriers that allow you to carry them facing forward (unless it's a back carry). They are really bad for the baby's hips and spine when their legs dangle like that for long amounts of time. I'd suggest a carry where the baby's facing you or on your back facing forward.

This year DD will be 13 mos and I'm bringing my Calyx carrier for back carries and my ring sling for quick on and off type carries. She'll actually nap in the Calyx, but not in the stroller, so it'll be nice to have since she still takes 2-3 naps a day.

Just realize, as stated before, that you cannot wear the back carriers on the attractions.

I would definitely bring a front carrier if you want to bring your baby on the rides in the carrier. Yes, many people do this....I haven't personally, but have seen many who have. :thumbsup2

I would totally buy a custom Disney pouch sling!:thumbsup2
