Wondering if someone can help - I have ready somewhere that you can get these items from guest relations on the ship - anyone had any experience of this? We are from the UK and our travel sterilizer didn't work very well due to voltage differences last time we hoidayed in the US. This time we will have our 8 month old with us and not sure what to do about sterilizer and warmer while on the ship. Hope someone can hep. Thanks:)

I don't have an answer for you. But when we cruised with our 8 month old, I brought a small bottle of dish soap and a bottle brush with us. I washed out bottles in our stateroom bathroom (with hot water) and let them dry on a washcloth next to the sink to dry. I brought (or you could buy onboard) bottle water and leave it at room temperature to mix formula with. Or if you need to warm up the bottle or warm regular milk I usually placed the bottle in a cup of hot water (very little since it may overflow when you place the bottle in it) for a few minutes to take the coldness out of the liquid. Depending on the size of the bottle you could get the free coffe cups on deck 9 and fill with hot water used for tea. Or ask for a cup at the restaurants. Not sure if that will work for you. Good luck.

This is the info from DCL's website:

Personal bottle warmers are not permitted on board due to safety concerns. However, a limited number of approved bottle warmers and bottle sterilizers are available upon request through Guest Services. In addition, Guests can request hot water to be delivered to their stateroom at any time from Room Service.

When my little ones were younger and we went out of the UK I used the Boots disposable sterilising bags: http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Disposable-Steriliser-Bags-7Pack_25755/

Really light to travel with, just pop the bottle in, with some water and the tablet hand it from a door somewhere. Though, to be perfectly honest, I didn't sterilise "properly" after around 6 months:blush: I just washed with very hot water (kettle usually) and left to air dry.

The bags are really good though!
Have a great trip!

Baby number one....Sterilize bottles

Baby number two....Wash bottles in soap and hot water

Baby number three....Rinse with warm water

:confused3:confused3:rotfl::rotfl: Sorry....couldn't resist. Just saying that I wouldn't bother with the sterilizer. None of mine seemed to be harmed for lack of one.
