I'm here! Sorry it has taken so long, guys. I worked a bazillion hours last week and then had training this weekend. But I am here now and ready to share some pictures and commentary on our morning at the Magic Kingdom.
Memom and I are big fans of the Extra Magic Hours. Especially the mornings! So many people do not take advantage of them. John, Mom, Brooklynn and I caught the bus around 7:15 so we could be there at opening. We were all standing at the train station and counted down from 10. When we reached 1 the right side opened and people started pouring in and the left side (our side) the CMs wouldn't let us in. Finally, they were convinced we were allowed to come in. We headed straight for Fantasyland. We were hoping to ride Dumbo and Peter Pan before the crowds got too crazy. John and I rode Dumbo with Brooklynn.
Then we headed straight to Peter Pan. This is one of mine and MeMom's favorites and one of the places I am to sprinkle her ashes when she is gone. Brooklynn liked it and kept pointing to everything.
There was also a hidden MeMom sighting.
We rode Winnie the Pooh.
Brooklynn tried to pull Excalibur out of the stone
Then she rode the carousel. She didn't want anyone to hold her she kept pushing me away. So very independent at almost 1!
By this time we expected the crowds to start creeping in but we walked right onto Mad Tea Party.
We rode Snow White. And then headed over to Small World. My cousin had brought her little boy who is a month older than Brooklynn in May and she had said several times that Small World was his favorite ride. Brooklynn just kept ohhing and pointing at everything and then she would get really excited and start flapping her arms and shaking her whole body.
The wait for Philharmagic was nonexistent so we headed in to see that. Brooklynn sat with her glasses on and watched. Every once in a while she would reach out and grab at stuff.
At this point we had done all of Fantasyland and it was only about 9:20. We decided to go ahead and stop at Ariel's Grotto to see her since the line was only about 15 people deep. Mom stayed at the Philharmagic store and John and I headed to get in line. While waiting we posed Brooklynn for yet another picture.
I saw Mom headed our way and flagged her down. She had to pass several families most were nice, but apparently one lady thought this 50 year old woman was trying to cut line to see Ariel. There was a cast member standing fairly close so Mom made sure to say "I'm trying to get to my daughter and Granddaughter" Loudly enough for the woman to hear. The CM waved at me and I waved back and so Mom came right through. It was almost time fort Ariel to take a break so they ushered us and the family right behind us into the cave and then put the rope up. Our pictures are okay, but the ones that will be on our photopass our better.
We let Brooklynn play in the water for a few minutes.
We let Brooklynn climb the beanstalk at Sir Mickey's. She also saved Princess Minnie from the giant.
She also had to check out Tinkerbell in the drawer.
We had a fabulous morning. And got to do all the things I wanted Brooklynn to do. We headed to the bakery to get a snack and of course the WDW ducks were waiting patiently for our leftovers.
Well I guess I better get to work since I should have started an hour ago. Literally, that is not an exaggeration! Have a great one guys!
