Have you played co-worker bingo? I'll have to look for the cards. I have them somewhere. It's a very simple game. You check off the complaints, emergencies (real and imaginary) and excuses your co-workers come up with during the day. First one who gets 5 across, up, diagonally or four corners, wins. There's no real prize. But you get bonus points if you get to BINGO before morning break!

I just got a lot of guilt / pity me in the form of "niceness."

So I have responded in a very articulate, kind way that expresses how I feel without coming off like a you know what. I really attempt not to hurt people's feelings, because that is just part of my personality, but honestly, I also need to stand up for myself and what I feel.

I just don't have room in my life for a lot of drama since my mother passed. Okay, that's not true, there is drama, and you can't help that sometimes, but I don't need to surround myself with it. That's a better estimation. And this particular individual can be a lot of drama, most of the time. And I just don't have the energy for it.
