I heard sun is coming Thursday and may stick around all weekend!!!!!

Did a bunch of stuff at my mothers house then had to come home to my disaster.

Wow, that does stink about your job. What a rotten situation for all of you. I found a part time preschool assistant teacher job opening, but it only pays $7.50 an hour and it's over 20 miles away. $7.50 an hour!!!

I do not understand why teachers are paid so little. But I bet this job will be more reliable than working for that lady!

Mornin' nanners.....happy hump day! I'm looking out the window and the people across the street are out on their front porch with a little kid.....at 6:30am!! I guess when your little one is up that early, you take 'em out for some fresh air!

I'm trying to put a positive spin on my day, so here's a little motivational therapy for all of you who may need it:

*I'm exhausted, but I'm enjoying a cup of coffee.....
*It's wet and rainy again, but the birds are singing and I can hear the Thrushes (my favorites)
*I don't want to go to work today, but I have a job.
*The new tenant in the building is weird and reclusive, but doesn't seem to want her next-to-my-front-door parking space, so I'm claiming it!!

And on that note, I need a refill on the java, so I'm off! Have a great one y'all!!


(OH yeah, and in less than a week, mah ticker's gonna say less than month!!! )

Hi all. I had a busy weekend last weekend. I took DD to the PAOBA show. It is the state alpaca show. She tried for the 1st ever Alpaca Princess on Sat. and didn't get it. On Sunday, she got 2nd (out of 5) in the Senior Youth Obstacle Course with her alpaca. I'll have pictures later.

Nice! I love my Keurig. Though I'm not sure why it was redesigned so the k-cups don't work in the new version.....

...which makes me so angry - we just bought an 80-cup [K cups] box of Green Mountain coffee at Costco's last week.....

Just coming in because I had something great happen today.

There's a senior at our school. I've kind of adopted him as a prodigal son. He needed to pass the SC HSAP (Exit Exam) or her would not graduate. I've known him since he was 9. This week, he got a basketball scholarship to two different colleges, but without that HSAP, it meant nothing.

Today, he was called to the main office. Wouldn't go. Comes to me, "Miss Amanda, I'm scared. Go with me." So I (5'2" takes him 6'7") to the office.

He passed.

I could do back flips, but instead, I've been crying of happiness all day.

All those extra hours of tutoring paid off.

What a proud moment to share and say that you had a small role in his success.

See me gushing??? I guess that's why I stay at my job. I'm still under the delusion that if I get through to ONE kid... I've made a difference.
