kwit, congrats on probably going next year!! That's exciting. And I could totally put a trip together in 4 months, I wouldn't sweat that. And yeah, if you're buying tix outside of a package, you will always do better through UT! (do you get the Mousesavers newsletter?....there's always an additional discount through them).

SadieDog, glad to hear the good report on your mom, and glad you didn't have to do the driving!


I made the trip to MA today to see my mom. It was eye-opening but not really unexpected. I had steeled myself as to what it would be like. She seems pretty "normal" in many respects (still "my mom" that I've always known) but you can see the dementia. It's sad. At least the place she's in is pretty nice. Some nursing homes are horror shows, which is just inexcusable in my book.

Now I'm home and about to go enjoy a glass of wine on my deck. DH and the boys aren't home from his parent's house yet. Nice and quiet.....

It's difficult watching a loved one decline. The thought of bad nursing homes makes me sick.

I didn't realize Mousesavers had additional UT discounts. I will have to remedy that ASAP!

I know I can put a trip together in 4 months, heck, I've done it in a week! I'm just worried about making ADRs and the possibility of NOT getting the room at the resort we want in that amount of time. DH did say that he'd know the amount of the share in February but he wouldn't get the amount until March. As soon as they post the 4th quarter earnings we should have a ballpark figure, but the actual won't be released until February.

Very risky to plan and not have it come through.

LM - Sorry your mother isn't doing great. A good nursing home can really make all the difference.

I had a good Mother's day. Went to brunch with my MIL. Came home and dipped my feet in the pool while sitting in my new pool chair (cause it was chilly!) then went to the Melting Pot for dinner. I hope one day to spend a Mother's day at a spa with the family. A Disney spa.

I just want to say, I'm very grateful for the warm, sunny weekend we had. But that being said, I want you all to know it is raining.......AGAIN!!!! Seriously???!!! UGH! Makes for a pretty carpy Monday (which doesn't need help being carpy, kwim?).

Anywho, I should be looking at it from the perspective that every Monday is the start of another week that brings us closer to the end of school and the start of vacation!!

Also, DH and I were talking the other day and discussed just the two of us doing a long weekend at Disney next spring. He's excited, but the point of views between us are funny: his take is, Yes I'm excited but it's not til next spring. My take is, Less than a year!...woo hoo!! Men.....*pffftt*!!

Just got a text from work, the boss is sick so no work today! Mixed blessing. I can catch up on all the housework I didn't do over the weekend, but of course Friday will hurt a little.

Oh well! DH just said he'll take me out for coffee, so that's gonna be nice!

Oh look, it's raining, AGAIN.

We go to school until around June 13th. Depends on how many snow days we used and have to add them on to June 11th.

My mother was discharged yesterday. I brought her home at 4:30. Once her insides were working, they wanted her out of there. I will go over later to see what she needs at the store and help around the house.

Still have not heard anything about work this week. Man I need to find something else.

Our kids are out the 13th this year. That was the original last-day as planned in the school year calendar. In all the years my kids have been in school this is the first time EVER that they've gotten out on schedule!!

My mother was discharged yesterday. I brought her home at 4:30. Once her insides were working, they wanted her out of there. I will go over later to see what she needs at the store and help around the house.

Only there were none. Today was a horrible day and I have never been so glad to get out and head home. Very tense and some things were said by the boss to one of the other gals that was pretty unprofessional and just plain uncalled for. But we're all in the same boat, unable to just walk away. And that stinks.

Wow, that does stink about your job. What a rotten situation for all of you. I found a part time preschool assistant teacher job opening, but it only pays $7.50 an hour and it's over 20 miles away. $7.50 an hour!!!
