I think FDM is all about perspective. From my perspective, she makes more money than I do!!....

I'm going to be doing some creative Fuzzy Texas Math next winter....I need to go back for a visit and either reconfirm that I'm going back, or bring closure once and for all.

Our 2nd car died on the side of the road Monday. The engine died. That is kind of an important part.

It's fixable if we find a used engine to purchase. Since we don't have the $ hanging around, the only way we could get one is to put it on a credit card. My husband could install it.

The guy that works on our Subarus when my husband doesn't buys his engine/parts through someone. He said he could probably find us one.

Good morning. My mother has surgery today. My brother and I are picking her up this morning and taking her. Don't know what they will end up doing b/c it's a mystery. She has had a handful of tests and they can't find the issue. They will be opening her up and hopefully be able to tell what is going on and fix it. She keeps thinking she is going to die. I keep telling her she will be fine.

Hi guys. Not much time as I need to leave for the hospital again. My mother was not waking up well after a long surgery and had to spend the night in intensive care. Some fluid in her lungs and low oxygen levels and too much carbon monoxide. Obviously I'm hoping she can be moved into a reg room this morning.

That's scary.....I hope she's pulling through. Is the hospital a long drive for you?....can you spend the night there if needed?

I got out of work a bit early but still paid for the whole day. Going grocery shopping in a little while. Not much planned for tomorrow and then Sunday I'm going to see my mom (in the nursing home...I'm a little apprehensive about it).

Other than that I'm just so happy to finally see the SUN!!

I hope everyone has a Happy Mother's Day weekend. I know it's very bittersweet for some of us. Let's just take it as a time to honor the women who raised us, wiped our butts, and kicked them when needed.

Thanks for the kind words. My mother is doing much better and in a regular room. She was still in intensive care when I arrived this morning, but was moved a few hours later. Man those ICU rooms are nice. The couch bed is unbelievably comfortable. One of my brothers slept on it last night. I got home about 4pm today and have been useless.

We arrived at the hospital yesterday at 9:30am. I didn't get home until 11:40pm. I got a few hours of sleep and headed back to the hospital this morning. I can't wait to go to bed.
