We had a LONG day at school today. All the kids were off.

About 13 out of 23 were permitted to attend art class and I told them they'd better bring back an angel award for good behavior.

They one-upped me and brought home a "teacher faint" award for PERFECT behavior!

I was so proud!

I figured out a way to get the entirety of a Walmart to get out of my way:

Yesterday, I walked through Walmart with chocolate, a bottle of red wine, and a box of tampons.

Cashier decided he'd go ahead and take me even though he was planning to close.

I'm at the dealership waiting for my car to get inspected. I'm trying sooooooooo hard not to snort laugh................

The ex called last night. He should be home Sunday or Monday. They need to tweak his medicine. Of course DD cried, I'm thinking of relief.

On Tuesday when he had the operation, I was talking to a coworker who is married to a Pastor. I wondered out loud to her if I should've checked with his insurance agent to see if his life insurance, which DD is the beneficiary, was all paid up. She goes, "which way do you want me to pray?"

I haven't been able to get on much since Thursday during Idol. I hope the server switch works out so we don't have any more outages.

Looks like another warm day here. It's April vacation week. I won't be working much this week. The kids I watch are at their grandmother's for a few days and Wed my mother is having surgery. I'm hoping to be needed Thursday and Friday.

I'm actually going to work today, making this a full 5-day week! Never thought I'd be so excited about NOT having days off.

Weather's warming right up starting today, might reach 80 on Sunday. Nice.

Oddly enough, as a native New Englander, I am not a fan of lobster. I don't like food with spindly legs and eyes looking back up at me. I had BBQ pork ribs for my lunch....YUM.

Mean Queen, I was looking over the offerings at John's Pass this morning before work.....I am not sure how we managed not to go there the last time! Maybe it was due to the kids being quite young. I dunno. Have you ever eaten at The Hut?.....looks interesting! I will say, looking at their menu, I have never seen so many rum-based tropical concoctions in one place!!

So I froze at work today, despite the heat outside. They decided it was too humid (?!) to open up the doors and windows. Now I'm home and it's 90* and I'm toasty and happy.
