Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

....yes, it's true:

I have begun my latest TR, but I make no guarantees that it will be done in an expedient manner....this year is proving to be really stressful already, and it's only going to get worse.....

Did they give you all a date for when decisions would be made?

....there are a few [unrelated] events happening in my life now. You may have noticed that I am not frequenting the DIS as much as I did during the summer. It goes without saying that one is work-related, but other things have occurred also, including my brother's unending health issues. However, something else has come to light this past week, regarding my DS, and it is s really stressful situation. I am not at liberty to say exactly what it is, but it could drastically affect the rest of his life.....

I wish you all the best, Kimmar. I hope that everything works out for you, your DB and your DS. :flower3:

.....yeah, and today my brother called this morning to tell me that my mom was in an accident and her [rental] car was TOTALLED! My sister was driving her car and my mom (who's visiting from Puerto Rico) was following in a rental car that she just picked up yesterday at the airport. They were near Metlife Stadium, where the New York Giants had an afternoon football game, when traffic suddenly stopped. She stopped behind my sister, but the car behind her smashed into her, forcing her to smash into my sister! Then that car took off and fled the scene. The car had to be towed and they had to go back to Newark Liberty Airport to get another rental car (they were going to my brother's place) Thankfully, no one was hurt....

Oh no!!!

I'm glad your DS and your DM are okay and no one was hurt.

Stay safe and "boo-boo's are definitely OUT!!!", I hope.

Good morning nanners and welcome to another week...... Story of my life, I'm just waiting for it to be over and for the weekend to get here. :guilty: Work's been going ok and I'm not complaining about the extra hours, but it gets exhausting. I just feel like it's go-go-go from when I get up to when I finally flop into bed.

I'm also having mixed feelings about the job at the ski area. I expect to hear today and I don't know what to do if I do get offered the position. I indicated weekend availability because my weekdays are already full enough. But then I think, if I get scheduled every Sat. and Sun., then I will not have even one day off all winter (unless my regular job slows way down). Ugh. I want the extra $$ to put away for the spring, and I want to be able to get DS12 a discount on lift tickets (my main reason, really). But I don't want to kill myself in the process.....

I also now have NO idea what we are doing in the spring. Had discussed yesterday putting off the Disney trip for another year and having the whole family drive down to see my dad for a week instead. He'll be 86 in Feb., health issues, etc., let's see him while we can do this. Then I priced out what that would cost and let's say it was sticker shock. :sad2: I currently need about another $200-300 to complete the Disney trip. I would need almost $1k for the family driving trip. Double-UGH!!!!! :headache: I hate winter -- I hate having to sock away money to put heating oil in the tank, I hate the looming vehicle registrations/inspections, and just the overall expense of being in a cold climate.

Sorry for all that!! Geez I guess I just got going. We now resume your regularly scheduled Monday! Keep calm and carry on. :goodvibes

Sending good thoughts.

So glad no one was hurt in the car accident.

Working 7 days a week could certainly get old.

It sounds like hugs are needed all around.

DD18 needs to go to a dermatologist for her excema. It is horrible. Even after a shower she smells.

Any update on the ski job?

Oh poor kid. That's hard enough on anyone, but especially a teen. Hope they can get her cleared up in no time.

Any update on the ski job?

Yes, I got a voice mail yesterday afternoon saying they'd like to bring me on board! I'm glad but also in "what was I thinking" mode..... :faint: December may be a bit hectic, but after that things should level off. I'm doing a full 40 hours at my regular job right now, but that's only because of holiday orders. That's not what I normally work, so the whole winter won't be like that. DH also got a job there in maintenance, so between us I'm feeling better about the winter heating situation, AND DS12 will be well-stocked with discount lift tickets for snow boarding. DH and I get to ski for free so I'd like to do that with him sometime. We used to go quite a bit before the boys were born, but it's been years now since I hit the slopes.

He was scheduled for an operation next week, and they have already postponed it, pending full recovery.....as for my DS, please, please, PLEASE keep him in your well wishes and prayers....
