Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

Well... in regards to my question. The patient at MUSC thankfully does not have ebola.

DH is on a work trip and won't be home until the 16 th. I'm doing the solo parenting thing and by the time I'm done with all the chores, I've been too tired to do anything other than go to bed.

And knit. Definitely knitting. :rolleyes1

I have an off topic question to ask you ladies.

This morning on the news they had a breaking news story. It seems that ebola protocols have been activated at MUSC. (Medical University of SC.) They have a patient admitted with .... symptoms? They are not being to clear as of yet. One of my sons is there today. Fridays Are one of his clinical days. He is a Respitory Therapist student. My DD will be there on Tuesday for her clinical. She is a Nursing student

So, now my question..... Do ya'll think all of this ebola stuff has just been hyped up? Or.... Do you think it is the quite before the storm?

I think to some extent it's being hyped -- typical news media coverage of just about anything. (I noticed here that that's ALL there was in the news. Until election day. Then suddenly there was NO ebola news and they covered nothing but election stuff. Go figure. It didn't just suddenly disappear, there just was now something more "prominent" for the news to cover).

It's a serious thing, for sure, but hype always makes for a better story than "We have this under control."

.

It's all relative, right?

Our Ebola news here is around why it has taken the Australian Government this long to put forward human resources to help the efforts in West Africa. Our government only just announced the aid. Previous to this, they have only contributed money.

When we got DD a car. A 2008 Subaru Impreza. It is not the one that we originally wanted. I hope that we won't have too much problems with it. I did take out a two year 24,000 miles warranty though.

Congratulations. That's a good car. :thumbsup2

I see no one has been on today, but I will say good evening to you all anyway. Hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday.

Hi SadieDog! I've poked my head in a few times, but there wasn't much going on so I didn't post. :flower3: How are things in Maine? Did you get much snow with that storm last week? I have a friend in St. Albans, they lost power for quite a while and she had a tree come down in her yard!!

.

My area was not hit hard. We only had about 3 inches or so. High winds brought limbs down in my yard and my brother's yard, but we have taken care of them. A few small dead trees came down across the path in the woods. Today was a decent day. I was very happy to be able to walk in the woods today. The dogs were happy to get back out there too. No hunting on Sunday. :thumbsup2

Got my going-down flights!!!!!!!!!

:yay::dance3::cool1::banana:

I will book the return leg probably after the first of the year (need to save up a few more points). But I got what I wanted at a currently-reasonable fare. If they drop I'll rebook but given what I paid, I don't expect anything drastic.

We're also going to see my dad first for a few days, so that extends the vacation a bit! :goodvibes We'll fly there, rent a car, then later in the week we'll drive up to Disney, drop off the car, and voila! Easy peasy.

.

Morning.

LegoMom, that sounds great. Please stuff me in your suitcase. I need to escape. ;)

Perfect!

After my last message, my internet went out. It seems to be fixed now, thankfully.

To re-phrase our thread title...

Poo-poo's are coming OUT, Toast won't stay IN.
In short, I've had a case of gastro diarrhea bug all week.

The food porn is MAGNIFICENT! Licking a screen is all I can do right now. :worried:
