The new Ferris wheel looks very big and scary. I have an extreme fear of heights. But if I didn't, it would be cool to check out. The cars are about as big as cars, enclosed, and have nice seats and tables from what I could see.
I learned my lesson to not dress to look professional. I got 3 blisters on the first day. Today I'm wearing my comfy converse and jeans.

I do not like ferris wheels. I don't know if I could get myself on it. I'd rather ride a roller coaster.
Comfy is the way to go.![]()
Awww .thank you for letting me know. I would not get on that either, but I bet it was cool to see it. I hope your feet get better and stay comfy there. I miss being there. Enjoy the rest of your time.!
UGH UGH UGH My daughter went to visit 'him.' What is wrong with her!? I don't get it.![]()
...I would
...but then again, I'm an idiot.![]()
I am sorry, but this is what usually happens. I know of a tragic situation. Not much you can do. Is she co-dependent on him?
....went through it too, with my oldest DS.....remember lip-pierced girl?
Ugh I hope he has moved on for good.
This guy is a jealous control freak with anger issues. No job for over a month due to being fired, no $, no car, no license......what an awesome catch. It is far from healthy.
....oh....part of him kicking her out of my house was that she met a real LOSER at her new job [last year] and was cheating on my DS...supposedly, he's been known to 'deal', and now they just got married a few months ago....WHAT???
....my DS has a new GF, and she is AWESOME! She is thoughtful and treats my DS well....![]()
Sounds like those 2 special people might meant for each other. Good luck with that marriage.
That is wonderful news for your son......and for you. I can only dream of such a thing.
....funny how they can't see the same thing you do...![]()
So, I had a doctor appt. yesterday that I had made after a solid month of feeling queasy and dizzy/light-headed (not every day and not all day, but it seemed excessive). Turned out that was most likely an inner-ear virus and not anything serious, just annoying. However, in the course of all the other little things they routinely check, it turns out my blood pressure is up.It's not so high that I'm any sort of immediate health danger, but he does want it to come down. I'm on a diet and exercise regime for the next two months, then I have a follow-up appt. ::sigh:: Really??! Getting older sucks!!!!!!!! .

So Wed. after my appt. I came home did 25 minutes of power-walking on the treadmill. Yesterday was a run day for me, so I went out (too nice to be in!!) and ran just over 2 miles, or also about 25 minutes. My. Legs. Were. SCREAMING!First of all, power walking uses your leg muscles in a different way than running, and mine weren't used to that sort of routine. Then, I wasn't able to give myself a day to recover as I usually do, so it was a challenge to crank out just a two mile run. I did it, but this is going to take some adjustment...... Today is a day off for exercise; Fridays are too busy. Hopefully by tomorrow I'm good to go again!
In related news, I did really well with what I ate yesterday. I guess health issues trump any other motivation for losing weight!!!
