Hi everyone,

Although my husband and I have been to Disney numerous times, (this will be our 6th) it will be our first time with our son Joshua who will be 13 months old when we go in November. We were wondering when we go to any restaurants do we take something for Joshua to eat ourselves or do we book a meal for him also. Just a little confused as the childrens prices are for 3 to 9 year olds? I know he's not going to eat much at that age and am prepared to pay for him! Also when i make the ADR's do I request a highchair at time of booking or ask on the day? So far we are going to Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace for breakfast and to Boma and Ohanas for dinner. No doubt there will be a few more places to go but not yet decided.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Karina

Hi Karina,

Our son Joshua was 10 months old when we first took him.

I would say no there would be no need to book anything for him, especially as I would presume there would be little he could eat off the menu's anyway.

I guess it depends, a lot of the buffet type restaurants etc, do mashed potatos and stuff like that, so maybe that would be suitable - a lot of these types are kids eat free though.
I wouldn't worry about that to be honest.

Providing the restaurant is not too formal, I see no problem in taking something for him, although if I can remember back that far we tended to ensure he was already fed before we went out (often he usually just fell asleep in his stroller)....

I am sure for your ADR there is no need to request a highchair, I am sure there are plenty available when you get there.

When we made our ADRs for Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace last year we stated that we had a toddler and a highchair was arranged.

With the buffet style our toddler was given a plate and ate what he liked. There was no charge for under 3s.

Hope this helps

Jackie

My daughter was 16 months last year and she was into nibbling and trying different things. So the buffet style eateries are ideal. You dont have to worry about wasting money - its free.
There is plenty of choice -cold fresh and hot I've found.

Enjoy your holiday,
Lynn
