BAB Exchange Sent/Received

Oh my goodness, Amanda, you have made Talya's year with this exchange! She is over the top excited!!! The first thing she saw was the cute Chicks Rule pajamas. She thought these were really cool. She decided that Rose could even share these with our new acquisitions.

Then she saw the Glinda the Good Witch costume and she was super excited. She thinks maybe she should take Rose trick or treating this year as she is dressing as Dorothy. Originally, she was going to carry a stuffed Toto, but now thinks it would be better having GLinda with her!

Ps. she thinks the portable closet is way cool too.

I am SOOO glad it arrived and she liked it all! I thought the pj's were so cute and since one her fave colors listed was pink I had to get the Glinda costume! How perfect that she is dressing as Dorothy. I almost sent the Dorothy one but went with the Glinda last minute..lol That would have been funny! She could have had a twin. She is very welcome. Love to make the little ones happy!

Those of you who are "rescuing" BaBs from EBay, I have a question???
How do you determine the "authenticity" of it being a BaB?

The reason for my question is that DH said he had someone with a BaB, but he was not sure it is one for real. What do I tell him to look for?

And...did you see the BaB site with the Lance Armstrong Bear link. When you click on that there is an auction by BaB for autographed bears.

I'm sure that Steph (DD, greenyskp) will be mad that I posted this and I will try to control myself so that she can acknowledge receipt of her ( fantastic and wonderful ) BAB exchange gift that came in the mail today. She will not be able to post until tomorrow but I thought I'd let roberrl187 know that it was received (unbelieveable, so thrilled ).
She lives about 3 blocks from me and stopped here on her way home from work to meet my new baby, Emma and I told her, "If yours comes today, come over before you go out and show it to me". So she left and not 3 minutes later, her car flew into my driveway and out she jumped with the magical box .
The rest is up to her to tell. All I can say is that it was magical!!!

Well, I'm a trusting soul so, if the auction says that they have a BaB tag , then I believe them. I have rescued 4 so far and haven't received them yet so, we'll see.
I had a bid in on a cute as could be Koala BaB and when I got home from work I checked to see if I had won and was so disappointed that I did not win. Then I looked to see who the winning bid had gone to and don't you know it was my own DD!?!
The moral here is, be careful that you're not bidding against friends and family. The good news is that this was going to be a gift for DD anyway so we still get him to love but my DD had to buy it herself!! Ha Ha!!!

As my mom said, I came over to my parents after work to meet Emma, as ive been working (and dating ) all week. And i met Emma (soooooo adorable!!!!) and went home and there hidden under the bush beside my door was a box from BAB!!!!!! If you all could have seen me fly to get the package, back in my car and drive the 3 blocks back to my parents youd laugh. because it was a mad dash!!!

So I came inside my parents and my dad was working outside and hes like 'wait for me wait for me! I want to see it!' So as im getting out of my car my mom busts out the door and yells something like 'You got a bear!' and shes dancing around and I go inside and cut the tape off and wait for my dad to come in.

He finally does and I open the box, in which the box inside comes open and inside is the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen. An extremely soft, white kitty, dressed in a tinkerbell outfit, and her name is Tinker! My mom and I about had a stroke. Plus! She meows. She's sooooo pretty!!!!! Plus she came with a stand, and I was just floored. I had tears, because she was the most thoughtful thing Ive ever received. I absoutley promise to post pics this weekend, when I get over to my parents house.

Becky, Thank you sooooooooo much. You are so sweet. And you really went overboard. But I appreciate it so much. And thanks for making a donation to the hurricane relief as well. It was just such a special package.

Tinker is currently sitting in my living room, where I showed my date her last night. (and he didnt run away! lol)

Thanks again Becky. This made my whole year. And now my mom and I are obsessed with BAB.

I just absolutley love it.

Stephenie, you made my day with this response. I fell in love with that kitty and when your info said you liked tinkerbell, well I just had to. Then I figured that she needed her own stand and needed to talk to you too. My dd and I had a blast with all of it.

Debby, you did good!

I think the outfit you picked out is sooo appropriate! One of my new babies is going to proudly wear a "Born to Shop" shirt and skirt. Since this BAB obession started with DIS exchanges, the bears obviously love to shop! We also got a new pair of sketchers that coordinate with the outfit. We also go a cute pair of slippers, with dalmations on them, to wear in the evenings!

How exciting to get a new baby. What a great story.

Thanks to all that have responded to my authenticity question. Still wondering however as there is a bear in our neighborhood that is being thought of as a BaB, but we are not certain if it is so and the gentleman that has is is not at all in the know either. That is really the basis for the question. I don't know how to answer if it is a "real" BaB or not.
