Hi all

we are flying BA next year from gatwick.

Now this might sound like a silly question but to me is a big thing on a 9hr flight. Whats the In flight entertainment like.

We went with virgin last year and really liked their system.

Also is it worth upgrading to PE.

Thanks all

Hi

You could go into any film at any time and start from the beginning , and pause the film

We only did economy :goodvibes

I flew BA in March this year - flew out in World Traveller (Economy) and back in World Traveller Plus (Premium).

The in-flight entertainment was pretty good. They use the on-demand system so you can start, stop, pause, rewind and fast forward. They also start the entertainment from take off and it continues until you reach the stand, which is good.

We've flown with both VA & BA in the past few years. Have found the in-flight entertainment to be pretty well matched. They were just as good as each other, in my opinion.

Last 2 flights have been VA & they now have the plug in your own device thing, which I think gives it a slight edge to BA though they could have it to since I last flew with them.

I don't think you'll be bored, there's plenty of films to watch!

We went with BA last September and flying with them again this August.

I had preloaded by iPad mini with tons of films but didn't end watching any because the inflight entertainment was very good. I don't remember the exact choices, but they had a range of up-to-date films and TV shows to choose from.

We used to PE either with BA or Virgin every year but after out trip last year with BA we didn't bother this year. To be honest, there is no real difference between Economy and PE with BA. There is a difference with Virgin that in my opinion is worth the upgrade cost, but with BA you really don't get a whole lot more for your money.

IFE is pretty similar to Virgin on BA.
