We have flown in British Airways World Traveller Plus once before (although not to Orlando) and IMO, I prefer Virgin's Premium Economy Service. I am not sure how the price would compare for World Traveller Plus to Orlando, but when we flew WTP it was about the same as Virgin PE for where we were flying to.
The Cabin was nice, although IMO not as private or big as Virgins (BA's was sat in between World Traveller and Club World) . The staff were excellent, altough we have never had any problems with any airline staff in the past. Check-In was a lot slower than Virgins PE. The legroom is exactly the same on both (38 inches). I found the seats comfier on BA's WTP, I also like the 8 inches of Seat Recline on BA WTP and you have your own personal telephone. Your are served food before economy/WT on both. Also there is the other benefit in that BA gets 18 channels of entertainment whereas Virgin Atlantic usually gets 8 (on most aircraft).
I enjoyed the services on both, but when we travel to Orlando again next year we have chosen Virgin, for the nicer cabin and environment. However they are both quite similair and you can't really go wrong with either
I would like to have tried the BA's WTP to compare with Virgin's PE,but as John said they don't have this servive on the Orlando route only the Miami one
I think the WTP costs very slightly less than PE? It doesn't have a seperate check-in though I think.
Martin - were you going to be hiring a car? If so you may fancy the drive from Miami to Orlando, obviously only if it saves you money in the long run
I have to say though I'm really glad you asked the question as we are flying WTP to Los Angeles in March when we go to Disneyland - so thanks for the comments Richard
