BA staff strike threat

i see that BA staff are threatening to go on strike for a 24 hour period over the august bank holiday weekend, does anyone know will this affect everyone flying on this day, ie TCD in our case or only BA passengers ?

I would imagine it would have a knock on effect to all airlines, especially if union members from other airlines refuse to cross picket lines etc.

From what I have read, they have not been handling things too well at Gatwick and Florida with the poor people who are stranded there because of Charley, so I don't think the bank holiday travellers can expect too much from them!

I think that they have been offered more money so hopefully it will be avoided.
