BA Flights

Good morning everyone I was wondering if any one has any advice for best seats on a BA flight , using them for the first time in December and did not know if any one had any tips .There will be three adults and one child travelling

How easy is it to secure extra leg room on a BA flight?

I'm flying with BA for my US trip in just over a week and at 6'2", I'm going to struggle with the 31" seat pitch (I flew BA from Vienna to Heathrow at Easter and was quite uncomfortable - it seems the seat pitch is the same on their transatlantic flights as far as I can see).

I've got a 777 flying outbound to Seattle, then a 747 flying inbound from LA and at 9.5 - 10.5 hours a flight, any extra leg room would be much appreciated

One of the reasons we stopped using BA was the seat layout, which does not work in favour of a family of four or two. Last time, coming home over the Atlantic was an awful experience, claustrophobic seats, sitting next to strangers, up and down to allow access to the toilet etc.

We vowed that we would never fly BA economy again long-haul. Either we travel indirect with a US airline, who tend to have 2-4-2 seating, or else we bite the bullet and travel Premium Economy.

Best of luck to the OP, but I really don't have a solution for comfortably seating a family of four in BA economy. Sorry.

Would also recommend you look at seatguru, but my tip would be get as close to the front of economy as you can as the plane usually empties from the front, and the sooner you are off, the shorter the immigration queue.

Also, being just behind Premium Economy sometimes means if there is a big queue for the economy toilets, there is quite easy access to the toilets at the rear of Club class. Came in quite handy when I was pregnant and caught short!
