b2b question - account transfer between trips? pre-pay Shutters?

We are doing our first b2b soon and I am planning to transfer some $ from my disney vacation account to our stateroom account to cover on board expenses. I'm wondering if I have credit left from the first cruise, can I transfer it all over to the second leg? Or will extra from the first cruise get refunded directly to the DVA, which would leave me unable to use it on board during the second leg?

I have a similar question about Shutters. Should I pre-pay for photo packages for both trips? Or will I get a better deal on board - can they combine the two trips for the b2b? It's a total of 9 nights on board so I think that would be a better price than two separate packages... if they will do it.

Recently reported = B2B people can purchase the full CD package for 50% off on their second leg (be sure to keep documentation that you were on that first cruise. Best value would be to purchase the CD pre-cruise (15% reduction in price), and then, when second cruise begins, go to Shutters, show your documentation and purchase another CD at 50% off.

Sorry, don't know anything about DVA.

from our experience, we have never been able to transfer left over obc to our second sailing. something to do with their book keeping. you could always put part of it on the first reservation and some on the second but that's about it.

Going on our first b2b in January, so have no experience with this. If you have some left over funds on the first cruise, could you go to the onboard shop and purchase a Disney gift card for the balance (or to the closest gift card amount) and then deposit that gift card in you account once you reboard for the second cruise?

interesting idea! i don't remember seeing gift cards for sale but then again i wasn't looking for them. sounds like it would work IF they sold gift cards. maybe someone else will have that answer.

They do not allow you to transfer funds from the first cruise in a b2b to the second one. They close out the first cruise and zero your balance out (charge the credit card on file or refund extra to the original form of payment). This is all done before they open up the second cruise. So they can't have money in limbo in between.

But as a pp said, you can go to the shop and purchase a gift card -- they do have them in the shops. You have to be sure to do this the last night (or as soon as you know how much "extra" money you will have remaining in your OB account) as the shops are closed the last morning.
