Hi
i am beyond excited booked my first B2B bahamian cruises
Day of debarquation I go back into terminal right ?
How long before we get to re-board ? Give me your exoeriences on that ? ( earliest / latest )
i want to take that opportunity to take pictures of the ship as I guess it will be mostly empty
Back on the ship can I go to my cabin ? Even if they put rope up fir the new cruisers getting on ?
Can I use washer /dryer if need be ?
Thanks

The actual times/procedures will vary from cruise to cruise, but, generally, yes you do need to leave the ship (if the turnaround day is a US port).

Time off the ship can vary from a little as 30 minutes to a couple of hours.

Depending on how long you are actually off the ship, will determine whether you'll have those empty ship photo ops. For the most part you won't really have much time, as B2B people are generally boarded just prior to the Concierge people. If you are allowed back onboard way before others are (as in the "new" cruisers), you can access your room, but once boarding has commenced, you will be asked to either remain in your room or out of your room until the rooms are available to all. Washer/dryer use is hit or miss. Some people have reported being able to put a load in the washer before debarking and then moving washed clothes to the dryer once reboarded. Others have reported not being able to access the laundry room until the staterooms are available.

Our most recent B2B we were directed to be off the ship by 9:30. And we were reboarded at 11:10 (5 minutes before Concierge was boarded).

Near the end of the first cruise, you will get a letter with instructions on the disembarkation process - it varies cruise to cruise whether they have you meet somewhere and escort you off or tell you what time to be off the ship and you get off by yourself. If you are not escorted, wait until the ship is just about empty before leaving -- it's more comfortable on the ship than the terminal and you won't get back on any sooner. After you go through customs, you will go back upstairs to the check in area (in Port Canaveral you don't leave the terminal).

Again, how long before you can reboard varies from cruise to cruise. They have to close out the first cruise -- make sure everyone is off and all onboard accounts settled. Then they can open up the second cruise for check-in. Then they have you wait until the onboard gives the okay to board b2b, vendors, performers, etc. We have been back onboard within half an hour and there were times we were on board just about 10 minutes before new passengers started boarding so it has really varied.

Once you are back on board, if you can go to your cabin depends on how early you get back on board. Once they rope off the area access so new guests can't get to their cabins, they request that b2b'ers are either in their cabin or out of their cabin until all cabins are ready (so new guests don't see people going around the rope and go around it too). We used to always do laundry on turn-around day (started the washer before breakfast, moved it to the dryer before disembarking -- with a note letting them know we'd be back and hadn't forgotten our things, and then got it when we came back on board). The last couple of times we haven't done it this way because we have gotten back on the ship just before new passengers and while we probably could have still gone to get our laundry, didn't want the hassle so we did laundry late on the last night -- when everyone has already packed so the machines were not in demand.

This is what happened to us.

We got off about 9:30 and were reboarded about 10:30. We didn't go back to our room because I didn't want to be confined to it until they opened it up to new cruisers so we went to the Cove Café then headed to lunch early. By then the rooms were opened. Pool was being cleaned when we reboarded; I don't recall when they opened it up. I presume it was before the new cruisers boarded but we were having coffee in the café, reading, and chatting to each other and some of the Cave staff so until I realized that I was hungry for lunch, I didn't really notice what was going on outside. Can't say anything about the laundry since I refuse to even consider doing laundry on vacation other than iron the occasional item if necessary (usually just for formal night).

our b2b's have always been out of port Canaveral and we have always had the same experience as princess shmoo. off no later than 9:30 and back on about 11:10/11:15, right before concerige but not a lot earlier than everyone else.
even thought there have been different reportings we have another b2b coming up and I don't expect anything different than what we have always experienced.

Great post, Citen. Especially the advice to wait as long as possible to debark if you can. We like to debark late (or during the sweet spot about 10 minutes into the second breakfast seating), so we eat at the buffet, stay there until they close, then find a comfortable couch in the atrium. No CMs will bother you as long as there is still a line in the atrium. Then have a leisurely debarkation, enjoy the terminal (have you really explored all of it yet, there are some interesting areas), and you'll be back to a deserted and delightful ship before you know it.

We were told to be off the ship by 9:30am and we boarded 5 mins (maybe not even that long) before Concierge at Port Canaveral.

We're doing a B2B out of Miam in Nov so I will be curious to see how it differs (or not) from PC.
