It was a battle in the American Revolution. Actually took place on Breed's Hill.
No idea where Breed's Hill is. Only Wally would say "Nice Obelisk!!!". We don't actually have a greeting - we usually say "Have a GRAND Bunker Hill Day, amongst those that know about it![]()

I think this is a drinking phrase - but I guess it could be multipurpose. Is that related to the phrase-
"Put something Grand in your hand."?

We didn't miss Dot day did we?![]()
What's Dot day?
Please tell me it doesn't involve people in spotted clothing.

Doll- I live here... and I never heard of it either.
Mr. Mike - Is this some kind of an acronym?![]()
No, it's short for "Dorchester Day". Dorchester is a suburb of Boston. Used to be a largely Irish community; now its very diverse and runs between slums and gentrified neighborhoods. Spotted clothing is optional.![]()

And this is celebrated? How?
For that matter, how does one celebrated Bunker Hill day?
I'm trying to figure out what kind of cocktails I'll need tonight!![]()
Big parade silly!![]()
And beer, right out of the can!

Muffin, you need to get out of the city once and a while!![]()
Live a little, hop on the red line south some day!
If I can't see the Pru (or the Hancock
) I don't go. And much to the chagrin to parade organizers, the Boston Crusaders always stop the whole production to give all of us drum corps fans a preview of what's ahead for the summer!
Go Big Red!
