It's Bunker Hill Day in Bean Town. :hyper:

Happy Bunker Hill Day!

I hope that's the correct salutation.

It wouldn't be "Merry Bunker Hill Day", would it? :confused3

Or "Joyous Bunker Hill Day"?

What's Bunker Hill Day?

It was a battle in the American Revolution. Actually took place on Breed's Hill.
No idea where Breed's Hill is. Only Wally would say "Nice Obelisk!!!". We don't actually have a greeting - we usually say "Have a GRAND Bunker Hill Day, amongst those that know about it :rotfl2:

Oh.

In that case.

Have a GRAND Bunker Hill Day!

Is that related to the phrase-
"Put something Grand in your hand."?

I think this is a drinking phrase - but I guess it could be multipurpose.

What's Dot day?

Please tell me it doesn't involve people in spotted clothing.

No, it's short for "Dorchester Day". Dorchester is a suburb of Boston. Used to be a largely Irish community; now its very diverse and runs between slums and gentrified neighborhoods. Spotted clothing is optional. :rotfl2:

Nothing like waking up to the 27th Lancers drumline in your front yard warming up for a parade! :thumbsup2

Doll- I live here... and I never heard of it either.

Mr. Mike - Is this some kind of an acronym? :confused3

Muffin, you need to get out of the city once and a while! :rotfl2:

Live a little, hop on the red line south some day!

And this is celebrated? How?

For that matter, how does one celebrated Bunker Hill day?

I'm trying to figure out what kind of cocktails I'll need tonight! ;)

Out of a CAN? :confused3

How boring is THAT!

At least for Cindo de Mayo we get to have Margaritas! And Mint Juleps on Derby Day! and Egg Nogg at Christmas! and Champagne for New Years! and Mimosas for Easter! and . . .

Wow, I'm starting to feel woozy . . . :faint:

 If I can't see the Pru (or the Hancock;)) I don't go.
Other than Chestnut Hill of course.
I can't be wandering around in the burbs - poor lost little lamb -someone could do me a mischief.
