we can play a good game of differences in a few months ;)

A friend who recently visited London was amused that we use the 24hr clock I just took if for granted everyone did! I love all the small things!

Yes, I do have somewhat of an advantage, as DH is from Sweden, so both dates and times are kind of funny....Lol...

I'm up for a game...I do know not to ask for a napkin (nappie) at dinner in the UK...rofl!

Finally gave up trying to tell DCL where we were going after the cruise on their online check-in form and just told them "other address" and used our home address, even though we are headed to a hotel for the night. Doesn't really matter to us, I think their website is just a tad funky!

But now we are all checked in :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I did the same thing!:thumbsup2

Since several of you have shown an interest in a customized lanyard BADGE, I'm posting a link to the form - please fill this out so that it makes it easy for me (I don't have to re-type all of your names, etc....) - PS - if the form looks familiar and you are on the EBTA, it's because I borrowed it from there! )

Link to form is here:

Hi, would the name tags be okay in the same lanyard as our KTTW card? We would only need them for the meet wouldn't we?

Val - if you want to copy/paste this onto first post, go for it! Thanks!

This is so cool. Thank u

I plan on wearing mine around the ship through out the cruise.

Okay, thanks

Well in that case I will go fill the form out but won't put my stateroom number on it though (I am guessing this is printed on the badge too)?

Ok, just realised I have to put the stateroom on the form. Are these printed on the badges, not sure if I will have them for my boys just myself.

Attention all FE participants. If you haven't already told me via email, please can you let me know how many groups you would like to take part in. Each group will have approx 15 cabins per group and probably will be two groups or three should we get many more people signing up before the cut off date, early April. Also someone has requested to know people's favourite Disney characters, so if you wouldn't mind either sending me a pm or email if you haven't already done so. Thankyou :) x x x

I thought that's what they called diapers :lmao:
.

They call them nappies, but "napkins" are the old fashioned non disposable that you fold. But they are also known as "Terrys".lol

Paper napkins are also known as "serviettes". :)

I'm sorry, I totally misunderstood. I thought that DisneyMouseHouse was saying she knew not to call napkins nappies there. And I thought that you were saying that nappies are still napkins. I knew that napkins are napkins ::yes::. I just completely misread it all :rotfl:

Lol. Now this is really funny! Napkins being napkins. Lol. It's like a comedy sketch. I wonder what pi other words we can compare?:surfweb:

Tomorrow I will officially all booked (travel wise). We have the sleeper train from Paris to Barcelona and just need for the return dates to open up (which is tomorrow).

Good day yesterday too, my bonus at work turned out a little bit better than we had hoped for. :cool1:

Flights all booked! Heading out from Rochester to Paris via Charlotte, home from Barcelona to Rochester via Philadelphia. The flights were a good bit cheaper going outbound via Charlotte, even though we have an extended layover there and no Envoy lounge...

So very excited for it to be May 25th.... (a great birthday to travel!!!)

Hi! Has anyone posted a Med Cruise packing list. I am thinking this will be a little different from the reg cruise list.

Thanks!

84 days! Does anyone know how easy it is to get to Pisa/Lucca from La Spezia? I'd really like to do the day on our own but not sure it's feasible.

Google Tom's Port Guide...he has pretty specific port guides with photos and maps of train stations, etc.

I think his La Spezia section is sparse, but his actual explanation of getting to Lucca and Pisa is pretty good.

Hi everyone,

I am not going on this cruise but here is a link to the hotel my BFF and I stayed at. A lot of other DISers stayed there too. This was during the Sept 2010 WBTA. Since there was about 300 or so DISers in the whole group, someone even got a bus to take folks from this hotel and another hotel to the port. The hotel was very reasonably priced and clean. we really liked it.

The next link is of the tour we did. We did the tour the morning of the cruise. It was for four hours and I wrote about it in my trip report. Well worth the money.
