I put on a sleeveless shirt today and then realized I hadn't shaved my armpits (since yesterday, I really should have let it go...) so I went and dry shaved them. OWWW!! First I put on some Neosporin type ointment, then I put on some hydrocortisone cream, and now I'm rubbing ice cubes under my arms---and it still hurts!! (Not my brightest moment, I know...) But hey, inflamed red skin is far preferable to razor stubble, right?

BTW, is there a smiley for pain that I'm missing?

I have heard that just putting your deoderant or visine on will calm down the inflammation...I think we have all done that at one time!1

At least you have hairless pits! They may be red and swollen but they don't have hair! This sooo sounds like something I would do!

OOOh! You have my sympathies.

I once decided that in order to get a real close pit shave I should use my DH's electric razor. I couldn't shave them again for weeks! I held my elbows out for quite a while after that little exercise.
