Azlea Bush

My DH and I would like to know how can we get our little Azlea bush to look full. We were walking in the neighborhood on Sat. and saw an azlea looking very full. Do we need to prune it back in the fall?

Azaleas love their fertilizer, so look for some and follow the application directions. If the bush is leggy, then a fall pruning wouldn't hurt.

If you prune in fall it won't bloom in spring. Prune right after it blooms in the spring. Do you know what kind of azalea you have? Some are just sparse. Especially the dwarf varieties.
