Awww man NO NO NO not another thing gone!

Hi Wish,
I viewed the updated menu here on the DIS. Latest update was 5/11 so pretty recent.
Maybe it's just a misprint? Just wishful thinking on my part, but I really wanted to try the veggie sub there next trip. Plus they had sweet potato fries, which are such a nice change from regular fries.

Because even if they are on the menu as:

The Following Items Are Not Allowed On The Dining Plan

there still will be guests who order them, are using DDP, and will loudly argue that they did not see the warning.

This is the problem. I am sure people would do that, but I don't know why that is "acceptable". If people can get what they want by arguing, even if they are wrong, that is a recipe for trouble, whether it is food on the DDP or anything else. If you didn't pay for it, you're not entitled to it and if you want to misbehave, then security should take you on a long walk to cool down.

I wish they would go with a separate menu for the DDP at TS. Kind of like the limited 3 course menus at the chain restaurants--that way those of us who are paying OOP can get the variety we want while those who are on the DDP can get their perceived savings while choosing from the limited menu. I hate when all people are punished for the marketing decisions that the company makes without taking all customers into consideration.

I agree. And not just at Disney, but all companies. I worked in retail for years, and the "customer is always right" is so not true about 90% of the time when they're mad about something, but if they're rude and complain, they usually end up getting their way. I think it's part of why our society is so messed up with their entitled attitude.

I wouldn't know how I'd feel if they did that. I probably wouldn't get the DDP anymore, which I usually only get when it's free anyway, (which is less and less of a value every year,) but I probably would never actually pay for the DDP again. I like having my choices.

Getting back on topic, has anyone actually been to Restaurantasouraus lately who can confirm what's on the menu? Or is anyone even going to just AK soon who could just check really quickly?

We ate at Restaurantosaurus last week and the shrimp po' boy was definitely on the menu. One person in our group ordered it and said it was quite good.

I wish the dining plan would go away, especially the "free" dining plan. I miss the variety of food that used to be on Disney menus.

I agree. Disney keeps pulling the good stuff from the menu. The pulled the gnocchi from Tutto Italia. GRR! Ridiculous thing is, gnocchi is CHEAP to make and they had to have been making a lot of margin off of it.
