His speech is slow and labored but you can tell that his mind is still there, and sharp! :thumbsup2

You can definitely tell he's still there. His speech though is sad compared to what he used to be. :(

Didn't you think he did well? :goodvibes Especially with the counting backward to 0. I don't know if *I* would want to do that on national TV. You can tell he has had a LOT of speech therapy. God bless him and his wife!

It's so great to see him. I'm proud of all the hard work he's done to come back!

I'm glad to see him back each year too. That we don't live in a society that tosses out the less than perfect as disposable. :thumbsup2

And it was great that Ryan Seacrest showed him the proper due respect. :worship:

I thought this was the best Dick Clark had did in a long while. He really seemed to be feeling good and happy to be there.

I have watched him every year since he's been back after his stroke and was immediately caught by his great improvement in his speech. Kudos to him and all his therapists for their work-it shows! All the best to him and his family...missed his wife yesterday though...

I wonder where she was

His wife was there, they shared a kiss at midnight :cutie: I love seeing the two of them every year

I think it's absolutely wonderful that he is still able to do the New Year show. Yes, his speech is slow and a bit slurred but I give him a lot of credit for still coming out to do the show.

I only saw her at the midnight kiss as well, but I was expecting her as they share a midnight kiss every New Years Eve. It's very sweet.:lovestruc

I was thinking the same things last night!! ::yes::

I saw Dick Clark's wife come out and they kissed. :love2:

I loved seeing Dick Clark last night too. It has been slow progress since his stroke, but he is definitely better than he was 2 years ago and last year.

He looked like he really enjoys being there and I am so glad that ABC hasn't pushed him aside -- after all, it is "Dick Clark's" Celebration.

Thank you Dick for all those years of ringing in the New Year.
