Awkward situation *storm related*

We had some fairly serious storms last night and lost several large trees from our yard.

The problem is is that they landed in the neighbors yard!
We're currently debating whether the trees are our problem anymore! LOL LOL

We'll be going out later this afternoon with our saws to cut the trees into smaller parts because we do feel responsible....but the neighbors are really weird people. The awkwardness is is that we're not sure if we're even welcome in their yard! (these are the hillbilly recluse pothead neighbors)

If anyone has suggestions other than what we're already planning, feel free to make 'em. If nothing else, wish us luck.

I would take care of the trees. If they kick you out of your yard then it would be their problem.

Can you just let them know you are going just going to get rid of the trees?

Perhaps, knock on their door and explain what you'll be doing before starting.

I would also maybe knock on the door (with the saw in hand) and ask them.

Yall have been having some awful storms lately....hoping they are over for a while. At least the trees didn't fall on the house!

We're just getting back from checking the damage...and sadly, their dog WAS hurt. He was in his dog house when the tree went down.

He's at the vet now, but will be fine...I think it's just bumps and bruises to his belly area.


The family wants us to LEAVE the tree in their yard. Seems it's making a really neato climbing toy for the kids!
I guess we'll just leave their yard "au natural" for today. LOL

Sorry that their doggy got injured, but I'm glad he'll be okay.
