I would just love to go and see Christmas too - but I think the short trip and crowds mightn't be great??

For me it's the sun and for DD it's the swimming. I love Christmas and especially American Christmas time. Before I booked next year's trip I asked DD if we could do Xmas next year and the first thing she asked was if that ruled out swimming and waterparks. My answer was yes! She would swim, but I feel the cold and there is no way. I still want to do it. Our office closes between Christmas and New Year so I could easily do a 2 - 3 week trip without taking more leave than I should in one go, but there are compromises and TBH the weather here has been getting to me the last year or two - I just don't know I could trade off the sun for the decorations. Tough one.

Well I have two weeks off so it would be a short trip. I would miss the sun but would be ok with that and DH would love it colder. But I think the crowds would be manic. But I am still gonna do it some year - if only I could do both!!!
