wOOHOO!!! I WILL EAT THERE NOW.

Cookie Princess said:Do people think that this character dinner is better than the one at LTT? I am nervous about dinner at LTT as I "fear the Stouffers", and had read the bad reviews about the food changes @ Garden Grill. The new/old Garden Grill menu might be a better option now...thoughts?
graygables said:I must be the only one on the planet who LIKED the new menu and DISLIKED the old one. We were there in Dec 2003, the meat was dry, the sides were canned, and the dessert was so bad that everyone wanted to leave and get a Mickey bar instead. I was back in May with my 19yo DD and we enjoyed GG's new menu very much. So much so that I asked for a few recipes and the chef came and joined us at our table for a little while. I really wonder if it was given a fair chance or if people just stubbornly abandoned it b/c it wasn't "the old way". I mean, how many people who were disappointed actually TRIED the new menu? There was no comparison to the previous food in quality. I made our CP ressies for there this December and now I may have to changeLittle DDs will be terribly disappointed...they were happily looking forward to chocolate fondue.
becka said:I hope this is true! I was a little upset that they messed with the menu in the first place and I had removed it from our list of ADR's I wanted to get for our next trip. If they go back to the old menu I will be adding it back to our list.![]()
I think they still have the chicken strips (from the kids menu) if those would work.lorik said:I don't know whether or not to be happy about the change. We will be there next week and planned our ADR's without GG. Yes, I could try to change them, but there are two problems. First, I don't know which ADR to cancel, esp. since we are eating with another family, and second, without chicken on the menu DS 14 won't eat anything. I really loved the catfish and the flank steak so no chicken for me is ok, but my fussy eater won't consider either of those. I guess I will just have to be happy for everyone else who will be able to eat there. Maybe if we ever get to do an adults only trip we will eat at our old favcorite again. Or maybe DS will one day be less fussy.

Can anybody tell me which characters are at the dinner - we have ADRs for LTT and I just might change.
Thanks so much!
Well, we tried it and it was HORRIBLE! The only meal that was totally not worth it. As for the fondue, it was hot fudge watered down with hershey's syrup with stale things to dip in it as well as canned pineapple. DH had the fish dish-edible but not great, DS had the steak and glue potatoes--gristly meat with no flavor and really stiff like gule mashed potatoes, DD had chicken fingers--no complaints-hey hard to screw them up unless you overcook them! I had the three rav's floating in tomatoe juice (and got to enjoy the heartburn for the rest of the day). The breads were ok, bu the dipping sauces wr\ere pretty bad--hummus was eatable, but the olive oil was just oil with no flavor and the cheese sauce was mac and cheese sauce-ewww! Personally it was one meal I would have never returned to. I did complain while there and the manager was resistant to hear anything negative! I am very happy there will be changes and hope to eat there again when we return next summer.graygables said:I must be the only one on the planet who LIKED the new menu and DISLIKED the old one.
