Awesome deal on Beauty and the Beast at Toys R Us 10-5 through 10-9

ok help me understand...Do I have to pre-order BATB today or can I just go in tomorrow and get the same deal?

Shanan, thx a mint for the reminder! :thumbsup2 I did the deal you suggested sans Tinkerbell, :worship: and am excited about seeing how the local TRU handles the transaction. The cashier didn't know what to do with the straightforward $5 pre-order/$10 discount card :rolleyes1

Not sure if I want to eat Spaghetti-O's tho :rotfl: :rotfl:

cheers,
:flower3:

Question:

No Toys R Us in my town. Can this be done online? At least the pre-ordering and then pick up in another town for me?

No, you can pre-order online but it would have to be shipped to you.

Questions.. since it is now $22.99 this week do we pre-order it for that amount? Didnt those who did it last week get charged 29.99

They don't charge until you pick it up/ it ships and you get the final price.

Yep, the pre-ordering doesn't really matter. The people that pre-order will just have to pay $5 less than the people who didn't, since we already paid $5 towards the combo pack.

Just make sure to grab the card and pre-order TS3 when you pick up your copy of Beauty and the Beast.

Karen, you could always give them to a food drive ;). I know spaghettio's are pretty cheap, so you could even make a few extra bucks on the deal.

And Tom, yes your Math is right...so we should have to pay $2.99 + Tax
and you can just use the balance on your giftcard and still have about 6 or so dollars to apply towards TS3!

So it seems as if it works out better if you didn't pre-order Beauty and the Beast.
We will see what happens.

If we bought Tinkerbell, and pre-ordered Beauty and The Beast wouldn’t we get our $5 deposit off the price of Beauty and the Beast too! Making this only $2.99? $22.99-$5-$10-$10+5=$2.99!

Shanan- Oh yup! So that I am not sure what to do with. If they scan the $5 deposit form, it will drop the movie to $17.99 and to get the $10 off Toy Story 3, you need to spend $19.99 or more on a Disney movie. I wonder if it would be worth buying and inexpensive movie. Or maybe just do the transaction I listed and then go to customer service for the $5 back from the deposit?

but, remember by putting the $5 down on batb you also saved $10 off of tink (or whatever movie you chose that day), so it was still worth it, so they might not let you return the preorder as your reciept will show you already recieved the $10 promotion.....:yay:

Shanan, you are full of all things budget and goodness! :worship: Some local kids will have you to thank :grouphug:

So for $16.35 I have the Tink movie, a $10 gift card and 5 toward BATB!

No problems at TRU today. Picked up BATB and preordered TS3 with no money out of pocket, just $3.87 from the gift card.

Total for this series of movies--
For $16.35 out of pocket I have:
New Tink movie
BATB
$5 toward TS3
$6.13 remaining on a gift card

Woo hoo! So glad it is working out! I think I am going to go grab my copy too! It is crazy that this should have cost $65+ tax so far! I love Toys R Us!

Update:

Went and picked it up for $2.99 plus tax and that is pre-ordering TS3 for $5. Everyone who didn't pre-order Beauty and the Beast you will just pay $7.99 plus tax for Beauty and the Beast essentially getting BATB for $2.99 and putting $5 down on TS3!

Final piece of the puzzle today. A little more out of pocket that I would've liked, but I had to finish it....

No sale on Toy Story 3 at Toys R Us, so it was $34.99. They did have a free TS3 wall clock with TS3 video purchase and a free popcorn tin with any $30 TS purchase I used the $6.13 remaining on the gift card and the $8 off coupon from Disney Movie Rewards. Total out of pocket today was $17.85.

Summary:
Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue Blu-Ray/DVD
Beauty and the Beast Blu-Ray/DVD
Toy Story 3 Blu-Ray/DVD, Toy Story 3 Wall Clock, Toy Story 3 Popcorn Tin
$34.20

I did almost the exact same things and got a great deal. Takes a little work, but it is awesome. Plus I ordered the bracelet and charms for xmas gifts. I actually walked out with Beauty and the Beast and they paid me over 3 bucks to take it.

Nicely done, Tom! I'm surprised at TRU's pricing cuz Walmart has it for $24.98. Their $38 version includes another release of your choice. Still with all the discounts, TS3 is still a good deal. I'm picking up my copy tomorrow :yay:

cheers,
:flower3:

Thx a mint for posting the details, Tom! :thumbsup2

I went to pick up my blu-ray yesterday and the clerk just rang it thru. I asked if there were any promotions, like a clock and she gave me one. Then I asked if there was anything else cuz I remembered you said there were 2 freebies. She said, their store was not running any other promotions and I asked if the store across town was cuz "my friend" got other stuff. :rotfl: She just said no but she hadn't inspired confidence so far so I while at the register I looked up your disboards post :lmao: (no one was in queue after me). So I read her your blurb, and she looked at a catalogue then went away to check somewhere else and came back with the huge and cute TS popcorn tin :rolleyes1

cheers,
:flower3:
