I swear I saw another thread about how to do this but I can't find it- I'm driving in from Naples (so South-north)

Is there a better route to avoid madness?

I-4 from I-75 east of Tampa over to Disney is usually not that bad. But the way I usually go is:

SR 80 Fort Myers EAST to LaBelle.
SR 29 LaBelle NORTH to Palmdale. (only 2-lane section; short stretch)
US 27 Palmdale NORTH TO I-4 at Davenport.
I-4 EAST three exits over to Disney.

Unless things have changed drastically I-4 doesn't usually get that bad until East (officially, north per the compass) of 192.

I have done the I75 to I4 and the way KINGBOB stated. Bobs way is faster and really not a bad ride. It is the way I now go to Ft Myers.
