Avoiding Fireworks at HS

I know this may sound strange, but I’d like to know if anyone has had any luck avoiding the fireworks at HS after Fantasmic?

We’ve tried to watch the fireworks in the past, but my brother has really bad asthma attacks from the smoke. We’ve gone into the stores down on Sunset Boulevard, but sometimes it’s not far enough for him to breathe well.

He has no issues during Fantasmic though, and we don’t want to miss that! Does anyone know if the smoke from the fireworks reaches that area? Based on the times, I’m hoping that we can just wait it out in the amphitheater. My other idea is just to hustle out of the theatre after Fantasmic and head out of the park, but I’ve heard that the crowds bottleneck at the exit as others stop to watch the fireworks.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Recently we were made to exit through a different path after Fantasmic! It brought us out at the entrance rather than back out on sunset blvd. if they are doing that regularly, you won't come anywhere close to the Chinese theatre area.

That would be the path in RED (sometimes part of the Auxiliary Path Exit) on the map below.

I would just bring a mask that he can wear after the fireworks ( I use an N95 rate one, works great fro my needs)

the he can just put it on at the end of the show, and keep it on until the smoke clears or you get out of the area what ever come first.

@madchatter - That would be perfect! We could just head for the buses and beat the crowds.

A mask has saved me for having a lot of asthma attacks, and from being sick ( with Asthma) for 3 months straight .
