Avoiding Certain Topics

Are there threads you avoid like the plague?


I avoid ANY threads that are asking for school help.
I'd HATE to be the reason Junior FLUNKED math or science!


I avoid threads about crafts...not because I don't like crafts but I don't even wanna START...I'd be scared to death how much money and time I'd spend..like doing scrapbooking. *shiver* It sounds like so much fun....so in order to NOT get interested, I just avoid!


I avoid most political threads...feel WAY too stupid to participate in a coherant manner. LOL


What threads or even forums do you avoid?

Yup.

I usually avoid threads that are controvercial (sorry if I can't spell tonight ) since I'm one of those who tends to take a lot of stuff personally and let it get to me. So it's just better all the way around if I stay out of them. So, needless to say, I stay *way* away from the Debate board

I avoid most political threads.

There are 2 or 3 posters that I avoid entirely because I *know* their threads are either controvercial, or will become so shortly.

I also avoid those posts that seem to be getting into the "dirty" -- some would say more "adult". For me, that's not adult, that's just dirty. Either that, or I'm suffering from Peter Pan Complex -- I won't grow up

you should probably do what I do and avoid the "help with spelling" threads. Together we'd no doubt ruin a young person forever! LOL LOL

I'm really not sure how to spell controversial?...either...that MIGHT be it, but not sure.

I've never been to the trades board, but that's because I don't have anything to trade.

I try to avoid posting on threads where people are obviously just wanting to pick a fight with someone.

Well, I usually read the "help with schoolwork" threads...just so I might learn something--like "basic common math"

Sometimes I avoid threads that I think will either depress me or will make me too sad. Somedays I'm just not in the state of mind to deal with. I take other people's problems as my own way to often. I "feel" their pain all too much and sometimes, I just plain ol' don't want to deal with that. Selfish, huh?

Sometimes I have avoided a thread that I thought I may not be able to say something nice on. Sometimes, I may even vent a reply and then hit the back button. Sometimes, I have enough & just say what is on my mind. (I did that tonight and hope I wasn't nasty, just honest.)

There's a TRADES board...a WHOLE BOARD just for trades here?

I also avoid the UK board. No offense but...I just can't deal with those accents.
