Have 5 nights booked in a 1 bedroom lake view at bay lake(first time with 3 and4 year old-excited!) however the 3rd night I had to book MK view bc lake view was unavailable. Of course I waitlisted the lake view to avoid switching rooms. If the waitlist doesn't come thru does anyone know of any other option to avoid the switch. It seems silly to have to go thru all of that bc of different room view category. Any info would be great. Thanks! Oh and what about top of world lounge to watch the fireworks? Do I have to get there early etc?

If you can't get all nights in the same size/view category, you will have to move. There's no way around it.

The only other option you have is to see if the missing night can be booked for cash with the DVC member discount (25%). We have done this many times without any problems. If the waitlist comes through, you cancel the cash night and keep the points reservation.

For ToTWL, it depends on the night. If you are trying to go on the 4th of July then yes, you will have to be there early to get a good viewing spot. Most, non-holiday nights IMHO, no you do not need to be early but if you want a table by the windows, then I would get there at least an hour early.

Personally I would be stalking the website multiple times a day checking to see if that one night pops up and try to grab it. Even though you have a waitlist I think it's a good back up to keep checking each day. If you get all the way to 7 days prior start calling member services each day to see if they can find the room. They can see inventory we cannot starting around that time. I wish you luck and hope it comes through :).
