avoid JFK terminal 4 at all costs

Oh well too late for me, we're flying home next Easter via JFK and by the looks of it Delta will be into terminal 2 but virgin leave from terminal 4. Least we won't have to do immigration (we fly out via Atlanta!)

the immigration is the worst of it for sure, so at least you're blessed with missing that!!!!!!!!

if you're switching from delta to virgin, i wonder if they do what delta does for passengers switching from delta domestic to delta international (terminal 2 to terminal 4)..
they take their passengers on a bus from one terminal to the other - airside, so that you don't have to go through security a second time..
but that's when you're changing planes from delta to delta...
i wonder if they do it for any other airline, or just delta to delta....
i've done that move when i've flown delta/delta, and at least you get to skip those idiots at TSA (and the abominably long line)..

Let's hope so, it's actually a code share, so the fight number is delta just operated by virgin! It's 20 years since I flew via JFK, naively I'd hoped it may be better now!

well if they do the internal airside bus to terminal 4, you won't have any of the security issues....just an old crappy airport....but that's no big deal...

i'll keep my fingers crossed that they bus you over....

actually, when you're on board the delta plane, ask about what you should do if you're a connecting passenger...

If I have been through JFK, it must have been mundane enough that I didn't notice. Guess I dodged a bullet!

On the other hand I HATE HATE HATE DESPISE AND HATE the Chicago O`Hare airport. THAT place holds nothing but scorn and fury in my memory...

oh right, that`s because we were stranded there for the better part of 32 hours without any sleep and a 6 month old baby!!! and not a single staff member did anything compassionate or nice. Or even SMILE!!!! They all just kept walking along, parroting the lines that the union reps taught them, and not even having a smidge of concern for other humans. I almost had to start making diapers out of other items in our luggage because the airport stores were out of stock of diapers. Nobody sold formula either.

The ONLY people who were kind and compassionate during the airport nightmare were the TSA, how awful hey? ;) I was impressed with how they gently handled our family and how efficient yet subtle they were. But once we got through security, it was like Mad Max in the terminals.... :(

i agree with you! O'hare is definitely up there with horrible airports...horribly disorganized airports...
we can start a list of terrible connection airports...
JFK, O'hare, Minneapolis (ugh)....any others? oh and a few people on here said Newark....so that makes JFK, Newark, O'hare, Minneapolis....others?
