AVK question here!

I'm renting points for my trip this october and we are staying at AKV. I've read on other boards of people getting free upgrades and what not. I know it doesn't happen as often as you'd think reading the boards, but do upgrades ever happen to DVC members?? Or are the rooms already assigned and there is no changing them?? It doesn't really matter i'll be happy just staying at the AKV at all, i was just wondering.

No upgrades. DVC reservations get the room booked - and generally the resorts are full anyway. If dvc ever started upgrading members when a higher category room was sitting empty, it would be a big mistake, as you'd have members whining about not getting the upgrade next time.
