Avis rental at mco

i just wanted to make sure that Avis is one if the rental car companies that is located on the premises of MCO.

I used them on a business trip last November. They are on the second level of the garage on B side, I think ground level on A side. If you have a preferred card, you can skip the counter in the terminal and pickup your keys at the counter in the garage, all your paperwork will be ready. They preassign cars, they will just give you the space number. I missed being able to pick like at National, they gave me a white chevy classic . I don't know if they charge for the preferred card, my company gave me one.

well that kinda stinks that you don't get to pick what car you want, i like being able to do that..i booked a full size and have a coupon for an upgrade to a premium. hopefully they will be in good shape!

i think we rented with alamo last year and we got to pick out the car we wanted..

anyone had any bad experiences with avis??

Good coupon, where did you get that?
I have used Avis a few times and have never had a problem.
The only companies that allow you to select your own car are Alamo and National. The rest preassign. This does not mean if you don't like the car you have to take it. You can request a change. I was assigned a white car, I HATE white cars and I requested something other than white, no problem, the nice lady at Avis gave me a lovely goldish color Monte Carlo.

well that is good to hear, i too hate white cars!!!

i got the coupon in the "entertainment 2004" book. i didn't noticed where you were from, but the schools in ma sell these for fund-raisers every year. alot of great deals in them for restaurants and rental cars and everything else you can think of.. discounts for universal and sea world too.. united air lines, i could go on and on...

I live in CT, BUT, I was raised "in the outskirts of Worcester".
I have the entertainment book , for Orlando, and simply never looked at Avis' coupon. Thanks for the heads up.

I have rented several times at MCO with Avis. Granted, you can't pick cars but when you rent a full size you get a buick century, a premium you get a buick lesabre etc. so picking a car doesn't help unless you can pick a upgrade. Color is not an issue with me. Spouse drives for no extra charge with Avis - just make sure their rates are competitive. If you aren't geting the lowest rate these little extras mean nothing. Don't know if you are eligible but I usually can get an Avis rate that is very competitive using the AARP code A35****. Also try using the employee code of A153700. Obviously you can't follow through on the employee rate if you have no proof of employment but I find it useful to check what the "lowest" rates are to see if my discount codes are
good deals. Goood Luck!

Does anyone have employee rates for the other car rental companies? They seem useful to check whther you have a really good price or not. Any help appreciated.
