Avis Preferred Questions

Hi Everyone! Is the Avis Preferred Program worth it? Any comments/experience, (good, bad,ugly)would be most welcome. Thanks!!

Our one experience with Avis preferred program was very good. It was easy to find and quick to use. The only negative was they tried to charge more than I was quoted over the internet. But I had my printed conformation with me and the woman nicely corrected the problem.

You might qualify for a free membership if you belong to a professional organization. I have one through the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. I use it exclusively.

It's a great way to avoid lines at the rental counters at larger airports. The Preferred kiosk is in the parking garage at Orlando, so it's an easy walk from baggage claim. It's never taken me more than five minutes from the time I get to the kiosk to the time I'm in the car and on my way.
