Avis location at MCO

Has anyone used Avis recently at MCO? I'm just wondering if they are in the terminal or offsite and how convenient (or not) it is to rent from them.

They are located in the terminal and the cars are across the street in the parking garage.

I have been able to find great rates w/ Avis by checking www.mousesavers.com . Become an Avis "Preferred" customer, and you don't even have to stop at the terminal counter - just go straight to the parking garage and pick up your car.

Thanks everyone - this is great news. I signed up for the preferred service and made a ressie with Costco rates. I'll keep checking for a lower rate, but for now, I'm a happy camper!!

We've gotten Avis several times through Priceline. We didn't use preferred, but the line has never been long. The only time we ever had to wait was right after the hurricanes, when there was a car shortage. It took about 45 minutes because they had to bring a car from somewhere offsite. They were very nice about it and gave us an upgraded vehicle. Other than that, our car has always been ready and we've been on our way in minutes.
