Avis - hold on Credit Card

I am renting a car at MCO from Avis and returning to Port Canaveral prior to our cruise. If my total rental fees are $34.10, can anyone tell me what amount Avis will put as a hold on my credit card? How soon after you return the car, will they release the hold?
